Kongus are improving in all walks of life. We have among us - doctors, engineers, actors, poets, scientists, politicians etc. Some of them have reached preeminent positions in their chosen field and got recognized for their meritorious contribution to the Society. These men and women will remain shining examples of what Kongus can offer to the society at large. For the year 2006, two Kongus were given the National Awards. Padma Bhusan was awarded to the well-known industrialist and octogenarian Dr. N. Mahalingam for his long service to the nation. Dr. K. R. Palaniswamy of Kallipappi received the Padma Sri award for his relentless crusade against Hepatisis B. Please let us know the names of people who can be included in the list.
